S&P upgrades Slovenia to A+

Ljubljana, 16 June 2017 - Standard & Poor's (S&P) has upgraded Slovenia's Long-term foreign and local currency IDRs to A+ from A. Outlook is stable.

This is another good news for Slovenia, after S&P in June last year upgraded Slovenia's rating to A (stable outlook) and Fitch in September to A- (stable outlook). We see today's decision of S&P to upgrade Slovenia to A+ (stable outlook) as another confirmation, that Slovenia is on the right track.

»It is very important, that we stay on that track and that the positive trends in Slovenia's credit ratings continue. Sound public finances, better competitiveness and the welfare of people remain our main priorities,« the minister of finance Mateja Vraničar Erman stated.
